Who needs counseling?

I'm a firm believer that everyone can benefit from counseling. It's an opportunity to have a nonjudgmental, unbiased, trained professional help you process life events with compassionate understanding and help you find the healing you so desperately need. So many people keep pushing through life without ever taking the time to face hurt, pain, or tragedy and learn how to live a joyful life in spite of life struggles.

How often do I need counseling?

In order to make progress, most counseling sessions are scheduled weekly. Over time and with progress, sessions are scheduled biweekly, and then monthly to continue to assess progress. How often we meet is entirely up to you, but this is my recommendation for the most effective results.

Do I have to be a Christian to receive counseling with Awaken to New Life Counseling?

You do not need to be a Christian to receive counseling with my practice. I will not push my beliefs on you or expect you to share those same beliefs. However, I will not use any counseling techniques or approaches that will go against my Christian faith. I will meet you where you are in terms of faith and I am happy to share my beliefs and hear yours, as well.

  • Groups of approximately 5-10 individuals focused on a specific topic such as: Anxiety, Depression, or Grief.

  • Meet weekly at a consistent meeting time with other people seeking growth & healing for a similar struggle.

  • Connect with a supportive community where your thoughts & experiences are understood by fellow group members.

  • Guided & facilitated by a Licensed Counselor. Cost effective way to receive valuable counseling services.

Walk & Talk Therapy

  • Exercise has been proven to improve both mental & physical health.

  • There are time when it is helpful to get moving, get the blood flowing, & then words start flowing more freely.

  • Work on physical & mental health at the same time.
